At the conclusion of the training program students will be able to explain the basic concepts of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and their role in applying the knowledge to their daily work activities. They will be able to construct SPC charts and interpret the various patterns that become evident from plotting the data points. From this information, the students will be able to identify when to take action and just as important when to leave a process alone and not make over-adjustments.
By understanding and applying the SPC concepts, participants will be able to help improve; processes, the quality of the product, the reduction in scrap and productivity in the organization.

Attributes Data
- Overview of Attributes Charts
- -p charts – Proportion Nonconforming (from samples not necessarily of equal size)
- -np charts – Number Nonconforming (number of units found nonconforming from samples of equal size)
- -c charts – Number of Nonconformities (from samples of equal size)
- -u charts – Nonconformities per Unit (from samples not necessarily of equal size)
