Rick has over thirty years of manufacturing, corporate and consulting experience. He has worked in or provided quality consulting service to many types of industries including aviation, space & defense, automotive, paper, transportation, packaging, chemical, metalworking, plastic molding/forming, textile, cosmetic, telecommunication, electronic, market research, medical device, food & beverage, food & beverage distribution, service, and government agencies.

He is an Exemplar Global Quality Management Systems Registered Lead Auditor (certificate # 8822), an AS9100 Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA) (certificate # 8822) & PROBITAS Authentication AS9100 Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA) (certificate #1619032778) and an IAQG Qualified AS9100 Rev. “D” Aviation, Space and Defense auditor. In addition he is an ISO 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories Lead Assessor. He has received a SQF Program certificate of attainment from the Training Center of the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) for successfully completing implementing SQF 2000 Systems.

Rick co-authored a Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) {now RABQSA International} approved ISO 9000:2000 Transitional Training Course for RAB Certified Auditors when the ISO standard was revised from the 1994 version to the 2000 process approach revision.

He has a BSME from Lehigh University and an A.A.S. in Aircraft Design Technology from the Academy of Aeronautics.  Rick is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer and a Certified Quality Auditor. He is a Senior Member of the ASQ, a member of the Audit Division, the Aviation/Space and Defense Division, the Quality Management Division, the Biomedical Division and the Measurement Quality Division.

Rick is an U.S. Expert Representative for the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO/PC 302 and member of the ASC Z1 Committee for the revision to ISO 19011 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems Standard.

He was the Chairman of the Philadelphia Section of ASQ {2001-2002} and the Region 5 Deputy Regional Director {2002-2005}. Richard served as the ASQ Region 5 Regional Director {2005-2009} and was a member of the ASQ Board of Directors {2005-2009}.

In addition Rick holds memberships in other professional societies such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), The SAE International (SAE), The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia.
