Documentation Development Structure

The degree of QMS documentation depends upon the size of an organization, the type of business, the abilities of employees and the processes that define how the output is produced. The documentation can be in the form of a flowchart, text or a combination of both.

A QMS is typically defined in various levels. Usually these are known as:

  • Level 1 – The Quality Manual
  • Level 2 – The Procedures
  • Level 3 – The Work or Activity Instructions
  • Level 4 – Records required

We can help you determine the level of documentation required for your organization, write or assist in the development of the necessary levels and establish the documentation control system.
